Обзор На Виски Western Saloon И Steersman Народные Бурбоны
Вкус его несколько облагорожен по сравнению с классическим Лафройгом и несколько напоминает например Caol Ila 12. Несмотря на маленькую выдержку 6 лет этот виски несомненно относится к премиум-классу, и я бы расположил его немного выше чем Лафройг 10. Ну собственно он немного дороже и стоит. Дело в том, что последние 7-8 месяцев выдержки в маленьких бочках действительно радикально улучшают его вкус, делают его более нежным и бархатистым. Фенольность по-прежнему присутствует, она никуда не делась. Если вы выпьете этот виски вечером, то утром дымно-торфяной привкус ещё будет во рту, хотя наверное не так сильно как после такого же количества Лафройг 10.
Также улучшению вкуса способствует отсутствие холодной фильтрации и крепость, приближенная к бочковой.

Saloons in the Wild West served as repositories of information, houses of companionship, and refuge points amid isolation and loneliness. The activities that took place at saloons were emblematic of the American West itself; just as settlers gambled everything to embark into the unknown, saloon patrons could bet their earnings on a friendly game of faro or poker. Saloons provided a means of survival, even offering a chance at wealth and prosperity on the frontier. The realities of an old Western saloon match up to how you might imagine them - gathering places for men interested in drinking, gambling, and an overall good time - only with fewer gunfights and a lot more variability.
As young men worked as farmhands, on railroads, or as miners, they looked to saloons as a social outlet. When people arrived at a saloon, they could talk to fellow travelers or locals, engage in a bit of business , and relax while having a drink. Researcher Kelly Dixon found evidence to support the notion that saloons were more about collegiality than conflict. At former saloon sites in Virginia City, NV, Dixon found more bottles, smoking pipes, and game boards than bullets or signs of violence. Saloon patrons may have also looked for companionship while there. They were gathering sites for drinking, socializing, and relaxing, and they often became the focal point of an entire camp or town.
Locations lacking a church , for example, might see services held in the local saloon, which shut down drinking and gambling briefly out of respect for a visiting preacher. Heltman held his first Presbyterian services in a saloon. Community gatherings, even local elections , could be held at saloons. Saloons served as information points, providing men with opportunities for work alongside news and gossip. Saloons were trading posts and lodging sites, bringing together individuals from all walks of life as they entered and exited a town. Once a settlement or town began to thrive, however, putting resources into a saloon was in the interest of the owner.
This was especially true in towns along railroad lines , whereas saloons that popped up in mining camps were more susceptible to failure when the gold or silver gave out. As towns grew, so did the number of saloons.

Но как мне кажется, хереса там совсем чуть-чуть, его совершенно не ощущается в запахе и он едва-едва проявляется сладостью во вкусе. Познакомился я с этим виски совершенно случайно - после долгой прогулки в не самую комфортную погоду заскочил в первый попавшийся бар хлопнуть что-то согревающее, выбора в меню практически не было и я решил что вот он момент попробовать что-то новое. И это был чрезвычайно удачный выбор, так как Акентошен идеально подходит на роль виски, который можно "хлопнуть" без эстетского смакования. Теперь о самом напитке: Аромат: Лёгкий цитрусовый аромат с нотами ванили и кислинкой зеленого яблочка. При этом запах всё таки приятный, без спиртуозности.
Вкус: Никакой маслянистости и обволакиваемости. Самому странно это писать, но на вкус очень "жидко" - вангую, что "спасибо" говорим тройной дистилляции и холодной фильтрации.
В интернете встречаются как резко положительные, так и резко отрицательные отзывы о нём. Многим не нравится его мягкий по сравнению с 10-леткой конечно вкус. На мой взгляд это скорее достоинство.

Думаю, дело в постсоветской традиции добавлять ректификат туда, где его не должно быть. Этот виски до недавнего времени у нас в пятёрках долго стоял по 700 рублей, никому не нужный, что тоже возможно говорит о качестве продукта.

Не отношу себя к любителям крепких спиртных напитков ну не лезут в глотку и все тут , предпочитая хорошее вино в умеренном количестве. Но тут любопытство пересилило, решил попробовать. На удивление, оказалось очень даже неплохо. Виски обладает довольно мягким вкусом с оттенками фруктов и что самое главное, для моего нетренированного организма — по шарам не бьёт.
